He joined the ABC11 Eyewitness News in August 1993 as a news anchor and reporter. Prior to joining ABC11, he previously worked as a reporter and fill-in anchor at WXII 12 News.
During his tenure, he won the Best Feature award from the Associated Press for “A Joyful Noise,” his series of reports on gospel music in North Carolina. he has also worked as a reporter/producer for Florida Public Television.
