He joined the NBC 6 weather team in May 2009 as a weather anchor and reporter. John is recognized as the longest-tenured broadcast meteorologist in South Florida, serving as a reassuring television presence for nearly three decades.

John is also the founder and CEO of ClimaData Corporation which was created in 1991, with the purpose of providing expert consulting and forensic meteorological research as well as tailored weather forecasts to government, industrial, and media clients throughout the U.S., the Caribbean, and Latin America.
