Dion Dublin is an English television presenter and former professional footballer who played for Cambridge United, Coventry City, and Aston Villa; scored 183 goals in his 613-game club career. He has capped for England four times. He has also been a member of the panel on BBC Radio 5 Live’s Fighting Talk. He currently works as a presenter of Home Under The Hammer on BBC1.
Being an amateur percussionist, he invented a percussion instrument called “The Dube”. He later accompanied Ocean Colour Scene in a gig at the University of East Anglia, Norwich in 2011.

Dublin attended Leicestershire for his studies, while schooling here, Dublin played for several Leicestershire youth teams including Wigston Fields and Thurmaston Magpies. After leaving school in 1985, he went on to begin his professional footballing career with Norwich City, but he never made a first-team appearance and was released from the club in 1988.
He later joined Cambridge United in August 1988 on a free transfer, as a center-back, which had been his position at Norwich City. Dublin played a big part in helping Cambridge to their highest ever finishing position in the football league, by finishing in fifth place in the last season of the old Second Division, but when Cambridge failed to win promotion to the top flight via the play-offs Dublin was put up for sale.
Dublin earned his first cap for England on 11 February 1998, while playing the whole 90 minutes in the 2–0 friendly defeat to Chile at Wembley Stadium. He won four caps for England but did not score any goals.
After retiring from professional football in 2008 he built a successful media career as a football pundit for the BBC and Sky. Dublin presented Late Kick-Off for BBC1 East and can also be heard regularly on BBC Radio 5 Live. He regularly appears as a football pundit and he manages a band called The Establishment.
