Ed Harding WCVB-TV
Ed launched his broadcasting career as a sports director for WPTZ-TV in 1975. He then worked as an anchor and sports director for WDSU-TV in New Orleans in 1978. Ed then landed a job with WISH-TV along with Tara Hastings, he produced and anchored the 6 PM and 11 PM sportscasts as well as provided live reports and color commentary on WIBC Radio for Colts games.
Harding joined WCVB as a weekend sports reporter in 1988. WCVB-TV is an ABC-affiliated television station licensed to Boston where he was then promoted to the position of co-anchor of EyeOpener newscast in 2000. Ed notably helped in the launch of WCVB’s NewsCenter 5 in January 2016.
Later in April 2019, WCVB was honored with three National Headliner Awards, four regional Edward R. Murrow Awards, and a national Gracie Award for journalistic excellence.
