Jay Siltzer is an American journalist who currently works at WLOS News 13 as a news anchor. Jay previously served as a reporter for WVLT-TV, WJHL-TV, and The Index-Journal newspaper. He is also a fill-in meteorologist and health reporter for News 13 at 5 p.m.

Jay is also an active parishioner at Immaculata Catholic Church in Hendersonville. Jay holds the AMS Seal of Approval for Television and the AMS Seal of Approval for Radio.

Jay Siltzer Wife

Jay was married to his late wife named Kelly McKeown Siltzer. It’s known that their first date was awkward but she still gave Jay a second chance. The couple got married in 2000. Kelly died at the age of 45 on Sunday, July 13, 2014, at Duke Medical Pavilion in Durham following a three-year battle with leukemia.

Jay and his wife Kelly Siltzer adopted a baby boy, Malachi, from Ethiopia. This was after they were unable to have kids. However, they found out that both Kelly and Malachi had an uncommon type of leukemia. As a result, Kelly was in horrifying agony as she experienced two foundational microorganism medicines and a few chemo treatments.

Sadly, Malachi died as a result of brain cancer. It is known that he had two cerebrum restorative strategies to remove the tumor, radiation, and nonstop step by step chemo prescriptions.

They married in 2000 and spent five years trying to have kids until they finally adopted 1-year-old Malachi from Ethiopia.
