Philip Rucker (b. Mar 30, 1984) is an American author and reporter who serves as the White House Bureau Chief at The Washington Post since 2005. He covered the Trump administration for the Post and prior to that covered Trump’s 2016 presidential campaign plus Mitt Romney’s 2012 presidential campaign.

Rucker received a history degree from Yale University in 2006, where he worked for the Yale Daily News as a reporter and editor. After working at the Post on their White House beat, he was advanced to White House Bureau Chief there in 2014, to cover the 2014 midterms and 2016 presidential election.
